Subletting & Residency Process
The standard sublet commitment is three months unless otherwise specified. If you’re interested in becoming a full-time resident, let us know, and we’ll begin this process:
- End of Month 1: A resident will check in with you 1:1 to share any feedback from residents, see how you’re feeling, and hold space for your thoughts. This is a mutual conversation so both sides can reflect and feel heard.
- End of Month 2: Another check-in will take place. The resident will again share and receive feedback, and at this stage, we’ll either extend an invitation for full-time residency or confirm your planned move-out date.
- Voting Process: All current residents vote on whether to invite a subletter to become a full-time resident. Since we are a close-knit community of 12 residents, we maintain a high bar for residency. We look for people who are values-aligned, committed to long-term community engagement, and a strong fit for our space. About one-third of subletters who do the trial period are invited to become residents.
- Room Assignments: Please note that the room you sublet is not guaranteed to be the room you’ll have if you become a full-time resident. Room selection is based on seniority, with priority given to those who have been full-time residents the longest.
Agape Oath
When someone becomes a full-resident, they make the commitments that are part of the Agape Oath.
