Note that we semi-regularly have rooms open up, as well as shorter-term openings! So if you’re thinking ahead or are flexible with your timing, even if there aren’t openings with your exact timing listed below, please do apply and specify your needs and we can see if our timelines align!
The rooms list the lease rent, communal contribution (per person), and shared food plan cost (per person). Note that the communal contribution includes all utilities, internet, maintenance, shared house goods, 2x/week cleaning, and communally agreed-upon house upgrades and projects - truly everything you’ll ever need house-wise.
The standard sublet commitment for potential long-term residency is three months. (We also have shorter fixed-term sublet options; let us know which you’re interested in!) The process for residency over those 3 months is:
House decision All current residents vote on whether to invite a subletter to become a full-time resident. Since we are a close-knit community, we maintain a high bar for residency. We look for people who are values-aligned, committed to long-term community engagement, and a strong fit for our space. About one-third of subletters who do the trial period are invited to become residents.
Room Assignment Please note that the room you sublet is not guaranteed to be the room you’ll have if you become a full-time resident. Room selection is based on seniority, with priority given to those who have been full-time residents the longest.
When someone becomes a full-resident, they make the commitments that are part of the Agape Oath.
